I have to admit, i'm on the same wavelength as the glasses dude. Besides, he did them all a favor getting rid of that cowardly POS, who didn't deserve to live anyway since what he did before causing the person who tried to save him to die from his selfish actions smh. To hell with people like him, you can't trust scum like that. They couldn't outright kill him so he came up with a way that would get the job done while benefiting the rest of the group and increasing their chance of survival (seems like a win-win to me). He was on borrowed time anyway, soon to be alien food aha.

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Same here. The MC is still an ordinary man who got lucky and obtained Wuxia level of Qi power. He needs a lot of growing up to do.

OfficialDrixMalone • 1 year ago

Indeed. He'll come to understand such ideologies when facing enough worlds. Not saying to dispose of people because YOU THINK there's useless or anything like that. But when the guy acts like his life is the only one who matters and on top of that doesn't want to help but expects others to do the work to save him and even tried to murder-suicide (kill everyone else because of selfishness), then such a POS needs to be bait and disposed off lol. Though, dude gave him a chance at survival and probably would've survived if he'd followed instructions correctly smh. Besides, that dude was meant to die anyway, the way he was acting and got someone else killed that tried to save his worthless a$$, you could tell his future was dark and short.

His luck was not getting Qi. His luck was getting infected by T-Virus. T-Virus works in two stages because it is failed project... stage 1 is evolution, stage 2 is devolving to monster after problems of T-Virus show up. Zheng was lucky that he was saved last minute by mission end which cured him of bad effect, but evolution stayed with him because it was finished.

Qi won't be usable for a while. He can do one shot only until his Qi reaches level 2 at which point he can still do one shot only, but the difference is that he is not half dead from exhaustion. That time stop, reflex and speed were result of evolution. Only hitting was boosted by Qi. The mentioned 30 seconds is time he can keep his evolved state

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Yeah also the Virus (Hint: It's not T-Virus) My point holds, he got lucky and survived the first world, then obtained Qi to strengthen his body. Sure the evolved state made him significantly stronger, it also has a very short time.

His spatial ring, his elevated physical abilities from Qi are due to him getting lucky and surviving the 1st world before death. Wuxia level Qi (If Xianxia or Immortal Cultivator level, he wouldn't need the evolved state to kill the monsters)

s00mebody • 1 year ago

Hmm, nothing is from Qi at this point as he is clueless about it. By this point he can barely muster the fact that he discharges Qi in one blow. His elevated stats don't come from Qi (they are like stats in RPG). Qi or Vampirism only boost them temporarily and each only boost certain stats. Evolution level on the other hand boosts everything every time level is broken and there is still evolved state which acts as temporary complete overboost

Qi user is from team Saints. And when they fight Zheng admits he has no clue about it. His management of Qi was pretty much monkey with computer

Qi or Vampirism never really played role for Zheng. He didn't used them and by level 4 he pretty much completely switches to what made his special when he blended of the two and uses gains with his methods. Level 5

Whole point of the story (stat and skill wise) is the fact that these Worlds and Main God were left by 2 factions: Cultivators and ...huh... technically oriented. One tried reaching level 6 by training their body (cultivators) and ones tried to reach level 6 by modifying their body. And Zheng becomes blend of the two, so he can't use either path and must make his own. That is also why old ones never reached level 6. Training body was limited with nature and technical modifications were the same as they couldn't modify beyond the world. Zheng on the other hand can only elevate himself (this is also reason why he evolves slower than evil Zheng who focused on Vampirism and blood arts)

Also, how is... T-Virus not T-Virus? It is virus from Resident Evil. And if you refer to D-Virus later in the book... that was a lie from Zheng. He just sold the lie where he shown his evolved state+being healthy as D-Virus. That is a lie they concoct when they go back to steal T-Virus to use it as team booster+weapon

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Also how is 初级气功强化 : Novice Level Qigong STRENGTHENING: Obtain 1st Tier level worth of Qi that empowers all of Users' physical abilities, User can also channel qi to perform boost to simple physical actions 'irrelevant'

Just because Zheng Zha says he can't use it too many times for now, so he has to be careful with its use?
Then proceeds to run superhuman fast all over the place for almost 10 seconds to test his new abilities out?

s00mebody • 1 year ago

How is your claim different from what I said? You say "empowers all of Users' physical abilities"... note, physical... it means things like mental power or other factors gain nothing.

Evolution level magnifies all parameters not just some. That is also the reason why old ones got stuck at level 5. They artificially raised some parameters and the disparity prevented them from reaching level 6. Each took their own approach. Cultivators boosted physical parameters with nature and ?techno? modified either into strength or into mental direction. The lacking parameters were the reason why level 6 cannot be reached. Zheng in book 1 gets lucky twice... first is getting infected with T-Virus and cured just before devolving and second is the fact that due to his team being wiped out he didn't really focus points or searching into any offered skills. He needed points for revivals and he simply had no time to search for relics left by old ones (had that not been so, he would get stuck at level 5 as everyone else before. No matter how many times you calculate 1+1=3, it will always be wrong and repeating same mistakes as old ones would be the same). This pretty much forces him to search for his own way and he focuses mainly on evolution level. At late level 4 he already completely forgets Qi or Vampirism.

Read the book. The boost he got at aliens was when he first time activated level 1, it was not Qi related at all.

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

Before he reach level 1, he already possess abilities surpassing normal humans.

This abilities beyond normal humans was result of obtaining Qi and training with method in God's Space. Therefore, HE DID GET A BOOST from Qi which you keep denying and jump straight to Level 1.

Normal Humans -> Trained Soldiers/Warriors -> Elites -> Pinnacle -> Tier 1.
From Normal Humans to Tier 1, it is not 1-100. It is more like 1 - 1,000,000
Your denial of the benefits that Qi brought to him is like ignoring everything below 500,000.

Winterisreallycoming • 1 year ago

You don't get what I'm saying. The unlocking of latent potential in DNA (which is exactly what they are saying in Chinese) can boost his physical abilities. The mere presence of Qi accumulation in his body will also give a passive boost his physical abilities. It has nothing to do with his lack of training/skill with controlling Qi. Albeit, without training the boost one gets from Qi is generally unnoticeable but still makes the individual stronger because when Zheng Zha choose the reward, he received the equivalent benefits of someone training to reach the 1st level.

You don't seem to remember the fact that Zheng Zha actually learned how to channel Qi to increase physical abilities during his training with.

Also he is currently at 1st Tier. With just the amps he gets from your T-Virus, he can easily break steel pipes. With Qi empowerment, which he already proven that he knows basic self-enhancements using Qi - the super speed and super strength he displayed in the God's Space after obtaining Qi WAS him using Qi, not your T-Virus

Zheng Zha is very powerful because he has multiple layers of amps. Not because he is only strong because of your T-Virus. The DNA potential unlocking (stems from being cured by T-Virus) grants him greater boost but also puts an incredibly high strain on his body.

Let's put it in a game terms.
DNA Potential Unlock = Raise all stats by 20%, when under extreme pressure, unlocks latent potential to +1000% boost to all stats but drains 1000% stamina lasts for 30 minutes maxed
Qi (1st Tier) = Zheng Zha's CURRENT Skill level with it officially... gives him a passive boost of 50% to all stats. He can channel Qi to raise a single strike or physical action up to 400% with his current measly ability

You keep insisting Qi doesn't help him at all and that his skill with it is so low level. But it was clearly stated in both novel and donghua that he has 1st Tier and HAS been able to do basic physical amplifications using Qi. Just not alot.

Yea its like we are human beings, but when faced with death we can bring out that monster, and become our worst selves. All for survival so yea even though dude in command had to make that cruel decision, if there was no other possible means of escape, no other options he made that fair point, and that hard choice.

OfficialDrixMalone • 1 year ago

Only if there's no other choice, which many people still can't make even when faced with such situations smh. They have to be literally forced to, but still give resistance. Which in that predicament, it'd be crazy, still, individuals lives changes in value depending on the situation. Unfortunately that cowards life had the lowest and gave everyone else a better chance aha.

Zhang Qiling • 1 year ago

Totally agree! Glasses dude is the most mature and wise in the group so far, having someone like him is actually important in such situation.

s00mebody • 1 year ago

Heh, that is Chu Xuan. But, it will take somewhere to season 10+ (season here is volume in novel) to understand why he is like that. Fun fact, poor Zheng hates him down to the bones because of that, but he always agrees with decisions and he is the first he relies on too. Even when Xuan literally fucks up half of the team into almost certain death sentence... he still agrees, lol. Just his comment is "Can't you at least tell us what kind of fucked up situation you plan on throwing us in?"

Anime God • 1 year ago

That is how you get rid of ppl who are a pain. I like him so far.

Robert_Sz • 1 year ago

Why is it that in the world of fiction those labeled as ''KIND'' Are Border Line Retards ? do writers think kindness is a mental illness or something ?
